Release Notes:<\/p>
1) Added FRONT\/BACK dofsets for straight bevel pinion mesh.
Update ROTOR->BEVEL with limiting diameter\/axial distance at
FRONT\/BACK dofsets.<\/p>
2) Added units support in vGlass, iGlass file version was
updated to 2.21. Added a new feature to display units
for attributes based on file units in iSys. Added a
units system converter in vGlass to switch results
between the three units system (SI, British and Metric-
Engineering). Old iGlass files will be shown without
units support.<\/p>
3) Changed the initial setting for the AUTO_COMPUTE checkbox
in the roller bearing CAGE menu from unchecked to checked.<\/p>
4) Updated error and warning messages for Ball Bearing check function.<\/p>
5) Error message displayed in vGlass, when encountering file read issues.
Previously vGlass exited without showing the user any message. Now the
message is shown in the Progress Dialog, and it is displayed

8) Improved the log inforamtion when Phase I of the contact solver
fails because it could not equilibriate a rigid body mode, we now

Fixed generate log when Carrier Sector found 0 nodes (Wasn’t printing

optional flag “AllowPublicAccessToClientTable” to the
config file for the license server. This option is “false”
by default. If it is set to true, then the “ClientTable”
page can be accesses without logging in.<\/p>
16)Updated the session file CoupledSPBevelPlanetary.ses in the
folder SAMPLES\/CoupledSPBevelPlanetary. Removed the other two
files CoupledSPBevelPlanetaryT30000.ses and
CoupledSPBevelPlanetaryT40000.ses from that folder.<\/p>
17)Added the two examples BeveloidPinionBeveloidGearCrossedAxes.ses and

18)Bug Fix: When using hypoid gears with an imported mesh, if
REGENERATEHYPOID is turned ON, and the LENGTHSCALEFACTOR is not 1.0,
we were using the pre-scaled mesh file for synchronization, instead
of the post-scaled mesh file. This was causing the synchronization
to fail.<\/p>
19)Bug Fix: BACKLASH was only calculated if all surface pairs
have BACKSIDECONTACT turned ON. It was quitting the backlash
calculation as soon as it saw the first contact pair with
BACKSIDECONTACT turned OFF. Now the backlash is calculated for
all pairs with BACKSIDECONTACT turned ON.<\/p>
20)Bug Fix: Ansys formatted condensed stiffness files are
not read for certain cases. It was looking for
the string ” *** NOTE ***”. But we had one file
that had ” *** ANSYS BINARY FILE STATISTICS” instead.
Now we will only look for ” *** ” as the delimiter
string.<\/p>
21)Bug Fix: Incorrect units were shown for Stiffness Bearing
Full Matrix in iSys.<\/p>
22)Bug Fix: When the CONSERVEMEMORY flag is turned on, and
the STARTANAL button is pressed twice without a
GENERATE command in between, calyx was crashing
on the second STARTANAL command. This is now fixed.<\/p>
23)Bug Fix: Numerical profile with Chamfer had stopped
working after the Chamfer feature was added.<\/p>
24)Bug Fix: When the rotor axes in helical gear pair defined
in the PAIRS menu point in the opposite direction, an error
message is displayed telling it is not allowed. But when
a SUN-PINION or RING-PINION pair is defined in the carrier
menu, check was not done, causing a failure at a subsequent
step. Now an error message is displayed.<\/p>
25)Big Fix: Fixed memory leak in vGlass. Now vGlass uses
significantly less CPU memory.<\/p>
26)Bug Fix : Added new checks to prevent repeated
looping when refresh is triggered in GUIDE graphics
window.<\/p>
27)Bug Fix: The RESTARTANAL commnand was not working
when ENABLE_GPU_FLAG was enabled.<\/p>
28)Bug Fix: When running contact analysis with a
non-zero Delta Temperature, we were adding the effect
of thermal expansion only to the Finite Element contribution
of deformation. The effect of thermal expansion was not
being included in the contribution arising from the local
deformation field.<\/p>
29)Bug Fix: Fixed the help message of NROWS & NCOLS of
bevel pointcloud menus.<\/p>
30)Bug Fix: Fixed “Invalid element extent in Cont Surf data.” error
in straight bevel mesh generator when both secondary and tertiary cones
are included.<\/p>
31)Bug Fix: Fixed constraint check for imported pinion shafts.<\/p>
32)Bug Fix: Fixed a bug that was introduced in Revision 388: When
we attach a Journal bearing to a rotor that is of TYPE=ATTACHEDTOHOUSING,
the bearing could not find the race.<\/p>
33)Bug Fix: Failed to export straight bevels with toe and
heel webs in StepCreate<\/p>
34)Bug Fix: Fixed issue in roller tabular modifcation when
three end points are collinear and spaced in a certain ratio.<\/p>
35)Bug Fix: Failed to display roller bearings in iSys 3D
view when connected rotor inputs are not complete.<\/p>
36)Bug Fix: Fixed bug in menu order of PINIONBRG. In this
menu, the bearing TYPE appeared after variables that depend
on the TYPE. This craeted REPORT.TXT files in which TYPE
came after the dependent variables, causing problems when
reading the REPORT.TXT file as a script.<\/p>
37)Bug Fix: When creating a PowerPoint file from Guide, the
FileSave Dialog was prompting the user for
a name for “Graphics Metafiles *.pptx”. It has
now been corrected to “PowerPoint files *.pptx”.<\/p>
38)Bug fix: A pinion bearing of Type=ThrustStiffness was
not being correctly assembled in the case when the pinion
decks were at a non-zero axial position. Calyx was crashing
in this case.<\/p>
